Good to Learn Dyslexia

Dyslexia affects around 1 in 10 people and it is common for other neuro-diverse conditions to co-occur

Having an assessment can:

provide evidence for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA)

support a request for extra time for exams at College or University or entrance tests (Access Arrangements)

screen for other co-occurring neuro-diverse conditions such as ADHD or Dyspraxia (DCD)

identify strategies that can help with study or at work and home

sometimes it just helps to know!

What does an assessment involve?

Background discussion - this can be held remotely to find out more about you and the challenges you are facing.

A range of tests - all tests used are recommended by the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC).

Screening questionnaires for co-occurring conditions, eg Dyspraxia, ADHD, where relevant.

A full written report with findings from the tests, your strengths and challenges and recommendations to help you at home, study or work. Reports are written using the new SASC report format.

Follow up discussion and a chance for you to ask any questions.
